Welcome to Vena, a Distinguished School!

Vena Avenue Elementary & Gifted/High-Ability Magnet has been named a California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education. Only 5% of California schools are awarded each year following a selection process. This award identifies and honors schools that have demonstrated educational excellence for all students and progress in narrowing the achievement gap. Every student at Vena has access to high-quality educational experiences. Our school administration, staff, and families work together to make sure that each child is "prepared for success."  Roar out with pride, Vena Tigers!

Holiday Program

This year we will have our annual Holiday Program on December14 and 15. There will be two performances each day--one at 10:30 and an afternoon show at 1:15.

Each grade level will present a song to represent different cultural celebrations that take place in winter--Christmas, Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Kwanzaa, etc.

Note: The show will be the same show all four times. To make sure that everyone has a chance to watch the students perform, please ATTEND ONLY ONE OF THE PERFORMANCES. Thank you for your support!
